For people who got into Ivy Leagues..

What did you do as your senior project in High School? And what ivy league are you going/are going to?

Not all schools have a “senior project.” In fact most don’t.

Also, most colleges make their decisions around March, so it probably has no effect unless it’s a project that is finished by February.

…and you’re assuming that everybody who gets accepted into at least one Ivy ends up going to one of those schools. I got into an Ivy but opted for another university, and there’s at least quite a few other students that do the same every year. Also, ditto, at least in my area no schools require senior projects from their students.

And you should just listen to what people accepted to Ivies did and copy that. Do a project that interest you and that you thought of yourself. Copying others to improve your “Ivy chances” is just silly.

What is a “senior project”?

Seriously, I’ve never even heard of a senior project.

But anyway, as others have said, don’t try to be like anyone else. Just do you. That’s more important.

Not every school has a mandatory “senior project.”

I did a research project in junior year regarding odd perfect numbers and establishing bounds for them, and that was the closest to “senior project” I’ve done.

OP: If this query is an example of your research and critical thinking skills, you’re facing a huge uphill journey to be admitted to very selective colleges.
