For Profit Mess

When I was 17 I went to a for profit Nationally Accredited (not regionally) art school in Florida. I was extremely young and misguided and therefor left out of there with a ton of debt and a low GPA.
Now, years later I am attending a community college in Northern Virginia and am one year away from apply for transfer. I am looking at a few schools in Virginia such as VTech, James Madison, George Mason, VCU, and Old Dominion. I currently have a 3.7 GPA and hopefully that will rise over the next year. My question is, will these schools look at a school that is not regionally accredited and factor in those grades into my GPA?
I know it is my past I can not run from it, I am just pretty nervous that it is going to haunt me for life.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Why don’t you discuss this with your transfer advisor? They will be familiar with VA college transfers and may have some experience to draw on. However I don’t think it will hurt you. I think they know quite well what those schools are about and they will likely not find any of those classes transferable anyway.
