"Peer Academic Link makes available upperclass students willing to be contacted about their major experiences. Just scan the list below to find the department or program you’re interested in, and follow the link to its PALs. The students listed have provided some basic information about themselves and their interests. They are happy to talk to other students (of any class!) about their major and how it has worked for them. Blitz any PAL with questions or to arrange a meeting for a more in depth conversation. (If you are not using Blitz yet, just email them using the format <a href=“mailto:firstname.lastname@dartmouth.edu”>firstname.lastname@dartmouth.edu</a>) PALs will do whatever they can to accommodate your requests and help you assess if a major may be right for you. </p>
<p>However, please remember that PALs are not academic advisors and you should not rely on them to plan your academic career or make important academic decisions. They are not a substitute for speaking with class deans, the pre-major advising office, or the department?s/program?s faculty, nor for reading about the major?s requirements in the ORC. Instead, PALs are an excellent way to get a student’s perspective on what your years in a particular major could be like."</p>
