Today there was a non-important friendly game played in Warsaw, Poland. The local national team played against Mexico and the overhyped Chicharito.

One of the feel good stories today is that arguably the best player on the field was Marcin Wasilewski. He is not a superstar but a great person and athlete. He is the person who was victimized by one of the most vile aggression one could imagine to see on a soccer field. Many thought he would never walk again, let alone play soccer in his life.

Here’s a video of the incident from two years ago - almost to the day. Be warned that it is quite graphic.
