--For those ACCEPTED FINANCIAL AID students...

Hey guys,

Well you see, I got rejected from Vanderbilt and still pending a decision from Colgate and I have gotten accepted to ND EA. The thing is, I havent received my decision from Colgate but I did get a letter saying that they need verification of my citizenship --this letter was only two weeks back (and thus, I submitted copy of my US passport)–hint hint at the peak of decision time… …but Vandy did not ask for any sort of letter and thus I assume that the adcoms told the finaid committee (as a way to save time) that “Hey, we are rejecting this kid, do not even review his app”… and well thats what happened.

Well, my question is:

FOR THOSE people who got accepted or applied for AID, Did you get any letter from Northwestern requesting you to send copies of of your passport/social security card in order to Verify your US citizenship?

Thanks. I know this was a very detailed post but I am triyng to make a connecting link btwn

Hmm… from all the schools I’ve heard so far that (only got accepted so far…) only 2 needed citizen verification… and none of the ones I am waiting for went a thing, so let’s hope your link is wrong.

I had the same problem
in my case so far only the two colleges i haven’t had to send the information on were were i was rejected but i worry its stalling my other acceptances or rejection letters.
I didnt get anything that would flag my letters from two of my colleges that I am waiting on but CUA accepted me without notification.
good luck to u

Thought this would be the appropriate thread to post this question, does the financial package come with the email?

It didn’t, I don’t think. I just got a link to the acceptance letter.
