<p>RE: UWash and OOS students</p>
<p>UWash, like most other state flagship universities has an enrollment cap on OOS state students. No more than 10% of the entering class can from OOS–a number set by the state legislature. Illinois also has 10% cap; Virginia is slightly more generous at 30%.</p>

although that may be true for illinois (they’re at 5%), it is certainly not true for washington

<p>I stand corrected. I was told by someone who used to work for the college there was a 10% cap.</p>
<p>And Illinois statutory cap (set by the legislature) is 10%. Urbana just accepts fewer.</p>
