FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HARD TIME UCB vs UCLA

Will you pay for my $100 deposit and steal my identity, too, while you’re at it? Then I can get a more fun and exciting one! :)

Well, if you go to Cal that makes three philosophy majors on the board going there: me, you, Eschatos.

Bleh, I don’t know if I should even qualify as a philosophy major. I feel bad for even picking it in the first place. I’m not terribly dedicated to the major like–I’m guessing–the other philosophy majors, let alone any major.

Also, did we ever conclude that you were gabew42? Now we have proof if we didn’t!

where are you, “hardtimers???”

“Will you pay for my $100 deposit and steal my identity, too, while you’re at it? Then I can get a more fun and exciting one!”

Sure, why not?

“Bleh, I don’t know if I should even qualify as a philosophy major. I feel bad for even picking it in the first place. I’m not terribly dedicated to the major like–I’m guessing–the other philosophy majors, let alone any major.”

I know what you mean…

Well, you still seem interesting (somewhat, at the very least) in political science and going on to pursue a law degree. That’s something! I think I might give up soon and just choose some generic (and easy!) major that will lead to my getting a 9-5 office job, working in a cubicle or something.

And you’re not using quotes anymore? Aww…

“And you’re not using quotes anymore? Aww…”

Haha. I got lazy.

Edit: Nevermind. I’ll just make a thread.

There is everything on this thread, but a real discussion regarding plusses and minuses of attending UCLA or UCB

Have you submitted your SIR to UCLA yet haybaxt?

No, I have not, but will probably do this week

So is anyone here afraid of flunking out of UCB? At CCC, there’s always a pool of students to act as a buffer and absorb the Cs, Ds, and Fs. But what if we become the buffer pool after we transfer?

Exactly. I’m afraid of rising to the level of my incompetence as I transfer to a UC.

ee_stu, I agree with you whole heartedly.

sarcasmgirl, did you make a final decision yet? CAL?

I don’t trust any fear nikkei has, given his record. I’m looking forward to the challenge at Cal.

I’ve yet to make a decision. It seems everyone else submitted their SIR already :(

Hahaha, no. I was gonna say something about still not making a decision yet, but I knew I’d get sick of reading it (as will you guys, if you haven’t already). I think I’m in the stage where I’m starting to rationalize that I like my friends more than I really do so that I might talk myself into staying even though I already know it’d be best to leave SoCal for now. LE SIGH.

It’s really worrying me that if I decide UCLA, I’ll get crap for housing, but not so much for Cal since at least they have a lottery system. :(

What don’t you like about UCLA’s housing? The university owned off-campus apartments don’t seem too bad if you’re willing to room with a roommate or two.

Well, I’m not saying they’re bad or anything, but I don’t want to get my last choice. I’m pretty much wanting the same type of housing (i.e. plazas) that many of the other students who are dorming want.

More posts please!!!
