For Those who Inflate SAT importance

I’ve been accepted into Syracuse University just last week (College of Art & Sciences). Guess what my SAT score was overall? A measly 1540. (M 500, CR 540, W 500) I don’t want to post my whole stats because I’m having a block in accomplishments right now but i can say that come from a very descent background and that I’ve had some good opportunities. But, this is just for those anxious CAS applicants. I cannot speak for Newhouse or Whitman applicants. So please, SATs isn’t as important as people make it to be.

Good luck to all still waiting to hear and those who have been accepted that are waiting for Aid.

ironically i have a friend who got in with identical scores! I was so surprised, maybe syracuse doesn’t weight them that much

I believe there more passion/diversity/interest of school-oriented. I did though, had many things to compensate for the low scores so I’m not at all condoning getting low scores and not trying.

My friend got in with similar scores, but he contributes his acceptance to affirmative action.

Sorry. Did I mention I was African-American also? I guess AA probably pushed it.
