<p>If you are moving away from home to live in the dorms, are you going to file an address change request for your alien card? I am not sure whether I should or not because my main residence is still with my parents but I will be living in Berkeley most of the time.</p>

<p>But to answer your question, no, your temporary residence is your dorm; your permanent residence is where you go back to when your dorm term ends.</p>
