My understanding is that Math II is all but required for students who wish to apply for engineering / STEM fields, and that Physics, Chem, or Bio are also good choices for those students. What about the others, i.e. the undecideds or the enigmatic “potential humanities majors?” For a student who is willing and able to plan to achieve a high score in two subject tests, what are most prestigiocious combinations? Do they all have roughly equal value, or is it more impressive to show strength in different areas, e.g. a language and a science? On a related note, if a student gets a top score in a single language test, is it assumed that they had some advantage (like being a heritage speaker) and consequently awarded lower prestigiosity?
Just don’t take an SAT II in your native language.
