Anyway, we just got back from the Session 2 concerts at NYSMF. Your D was easy to pick out – in at least two of the groups she played in, she was, indeed, the only female trumpet player. She appeared to interact well with her fellow trumpet players, during the many last minute adjustments to music stand placement, etc.
I didn’t introduce myself, because I never saw her during the “mingle” periods. But she looked healthy and happy from afar.
I think she sits with my D at meals. There are some videos with her in them on one of my D’s friend’s facebook page. And if you check the NYMSF webiste, there are a lot of photos from the past few days, under the “updates” section. If you look through them, I think you’ll see her in some of them.
She did a credible job on her solo with the Lab Jazz band!</p>
