While it would be great if we could have a forum for every college, we do have to be a bit choosy (as we don’t have unlimited resources to keep an eye on additional online real estate). That said, we typically look for schools around which there is current discussion in the forums. The whole “if you build it they will come” theory doesn’t really apply here, as creating a forum for a school has never guaranteed spontaneous discussion. Rather, we look for schools that are mentioned frequently in the College Admissions and Search forums, for example, and then make a decision on whether that school should have its own forum. True, you will probably find some school forums that haven’t had consistent activity for months or longer. Given how large the CC community is it remains a challenge for us to ensure the list of school forums is updated.
