Fordham University Early Action Decisions Fall 2024

Where will that be?? We’ve looked for it but haven’t found anything for Financial Aid. I remembered during the Financial Aid zoom meeting they said they will submit financial letters based on CSS profile then they’ll confirmed offer after FAFSA application was processed. Got acceptance today for my son but no word on anything else.

I was admitted to Lincoln Center! First college decision, OOS(NJ), 100.37/100 weight gpa, ranked 10/228, decent ECS, 1420 SAT(720 M, 700 ERW), 200+ Community Service

Son was admitted EA today, no mention of any merit award in the acceptance letter on his portal and don’t see anything in his financial aid portal. Does this mean he will not be receiving any merit?

Happy … S24 admitted to Gabelli Rose Hill Business Honors Program with the full tuition Fordham Scholarship (thrilled about this). NMSF, 1560, good EC’s, few but sustained over 3-5 years and regular high school experience (varsity sports, club leadership)

Hi everyone- does anyone know if the Cunniffe Presidential Scholarship is still a possibility for those who got accepted and were already awarded a scholarship in their acceptance letter? D24 was accepted EA to Rose Hill - her stats were 4.0UW/4.49W, AP Scholar, took hardest schedule available at her school, 1500 SAT (submitted scores), mostly 5s on AP tests, varsity athlete 4 years, NHS memberships (7 Honor Societies, including President of Math NHS), great volunteer record, NM Commended Scholar (DMV area is quite competitive for National Merit), pretty good ECs (including Robotics club co founder) - she is currently in the top 1% of her class. She received the Dean’s scholarship - 25K a year - but given the cost of Fordham it doesn’t move the needle for us. The Fordham website says candidates will be informed April 1, but does that include those who have already been given a scholarship in their notification? It’s a bit confusing - just wondering if anyone has experience with this.

My kid was accepted EA to Rose Hill last night! 7 APs, 4.5 Weighted, music/sports, no test scores, strong essay. Out of State. Congrats to all who got good news.

My daughter was accepted EA yesterday. Mostly APs with 5s, 4.3 weighted, 1440 SAT, good essay but not a lot of ECs. We were hoping to get the scholarship for national merit semifinalists but didn’t hear anything about that on the acceptance letter. Without merit aid, there’s no way we could afford sending her there :frowning:

Son got in in Honor Business and $65K merit per year due to NMSF. Unfortunately he also ED in NYU stern so he can’t take this good offer.

Can you put in the good word for us?

Congratulations! Did he get in to the Global Business Honors Program? Any idea if it’s at Rosehill or Lincoln Center?

Did you ever get an answer to this?

There was a parent on here a few years ago who had a kid who got his initial merit in EA (I think the full tuition award for being a National Recognition or National Merit Scholar) and then later it was upgraded to Cunniffe. (But then he also got into Yale with good financial aid so chose that instead.)

Looking back a couple of years, I also see a different kid with just high stats (straight As and ACT 35) who got notified of the Cunniffe in March, and I’m not sure what merit he had before this.

I emailed the admissions officer, who said that all the Recognition (NMSF) scholarships have been given out already, so I don’t think that’s in our future. My DS has great grades at a so-so public school and no leadership ECs, so I’m not mad about it. Maybe there will be other merit scholarships that will make this affordable, but I’m not sure.

Yes, he got in global business honor, I believe it was RH.

My son got into this program too. It sounds interesting. If they both end up there hopefully they can connect.

Son got in ED, 10k scholarship/grant in financial aid letter, which was a big surprise
4.0 weighted, average ECs and SAT 1300 for CS
Good luck everyone!

The financial aid package states
Total Scholarships and Grants. . . . . . . . . . . . . . $10,200

Does anyone know if this is the award only for 2024-2025? I do see the $ 10K being subtracted from the cost of attendance from the total estimated cost in 2024-2025

However its not clear whether the scholarship/grants on a per year basis as in $10,200/year of is it one time total amount Fordham has given.
Thanks
