<p>I have taken 3 years of french in HS. I hated it but i finished the required amount to graduate,get in to college, and then 1 extra year just because. Now will i have to take it in college?</p>
<p>Looking at your school’s GenEd requirements would answer this question much better than anyone here could without the name of the college you will be attending.</p>

<p>You don’t have to take the same language in college as you did in high school. I took Spanish all four years, and I am starting German in the fall. </p>
<p>You’ll have to check with the school about the gen ed/major question. For some schools, it does, for others it doesn’t.</p>
