<p>Just out of curiosity, aside from the boredom factor, what are the advantages, if any, of placing into a higher level language class rather than starting from the ground floor, even if you have had the language in high school. Does starting at a higher level reduce the number of courses needed to fill the language requirement. And, not to unduly annoy anyone, the website is silent with respect to Italian (and what AP score places out) which is what D is interested in.</p>
