will I have a better chance at getting to a top college (ivy league, MIT) if I took 2 years of an IB language during junior and senior years or if I took two AP classes instead (like AP stats and AP chem), and Im going into something math/science related. How much do top colleges care about taking extra years of a language (like IB and AP classes of that language)

i have the same situation. I can either take spanish 4 or AP chem next year. how much do colleges care about that?

ok, we were always taught by our high school guidance people, that colleges actually have a rank to the desirability of even APs/IBs…
- English/Language arts
- Maths
- Sciences
- Histories
- Foreign languages, etc.
so my vote for both of you, especially given your areas of interest…stick with math and sciences.
