Forgot to mention something on app >_>

Hey all,

I submitted my app yesterday, and like any idiot I forgot to mention something on my app. Both of these things could help me.

Firstly, I’ve been predicted 45 points in the IB by my school. Although I entered my report grades and the subjects I was taking, I never mentioned my prediction.

Second, I forgot to mention the research paper I wrote in French over the summer.

What exactly do I need to do to add this information to my app now that it’s been submitted (only applied to Cal and UCLA)?

Thanks

You cannot modify the app you submitted. However, they may contact you for more information, and at that time you might be able to include that info. This is rather unlikely to happen though, since they only ask a small percentage for that additional info.

dhkjadfja…

■■■. Do you think the information that I posted above would make any difference to my app? Do students usually provide IB predicted grades?

It is unlikely that predicted grades will be considered at all. I wouldn’t stress about it.

I thought we’re not supposed to know our predicted grades?

^ Yeah, that’s why I initially didn’t put it. Do they ask for our predicted grades at a later date? Since I’m an international student I get my predicted grades earlier, but then I get “revised” predicted grades after my mock exams.

If they don’t consider predicted grades then that’s fine. But what about the French research paper I did over the summer? Will it make a difference if my intended major is Mechanical Engineering?

If you think it might be significant, then contact each UC to which you applied and update your application there.

You can also try appealing, since they grant appeals if you have something new and interesting for them.
