<p>Hi, what formal events are there at UCLA where you get dressed up? (dances, dinners)</p>
<p>The only events that you might want to dress up for are the thing that you go out and look for. Honestly, you could attend UCLA without ever having to dress up.</p>
<p>If you will look for employment, you may have an interview. If you rush for a fraternity, they might want you to dress a specific way. There could be some award ceremony you will attend. Or you might want to attend a seminar full of professionals. In these cases, you might want to have some sort of formal wear in your closet.</p>
<p>i think some clubs have formal events. there are soo many clubs so i couldn’t tell you which one! and if you interview for a job, you’d need to dress nice</p>
<p>I’d show up to school in the fall with at least a couple dress shirts, a couple ties, a couple pairs of nice pants, and a pair of nice shoes. You may never know when you need them, and that should be enough to get you by until Thanksgiving. If by then you realize you might need a suit for something, then bring one back from home with you.</p>
