Although the schools I am applying to do not require letters of recommendation I got together some anyway. I am wondering how to properly format a packet so that I can send all of my recommendations professionally to each university. How do I let the university know these recommendations are for me? should I include a cover sheet inside or will writing my information on the outside of the package be sufficient. Thank you in advance for your help.

Are you using the common app forms? If so, the common app forms should provide enough information. If not, I suggest using the common app forms. :P

Is your name not mentioned in the letters?

Just have your recommenders send the letters.

my name is mentioned in the letters. I received the letters from my teachers and was told that it would be best if I sent them all in one packet so that admissions would receive them collectively. I did in fact use the common app form for my teachers recommendations but I also received a recommendation from a clinical psychologist for whom I interned for.

[How Do I Send Teacher Recommendations? - Ask The Dean](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/dean/archives/000344.htm)

I think I am going to follow the instructions of the dean:

-On the outside front of the envelope, in the lower left-hand corner, write: YOUR NAME, YOUR SCHOOL NAME, the contents of the envelope (e.g., “Letter of reference from Mr. J.J. Johnstone, biology teacher”)
