<p>My sources at HHS tell me that you can’t reach anyone at HHS - there is no one there. I am supposed to be talking to them on a regular basis, but for the most part there is no one home.</p>

<p>I do find it encouraging that people in the administration are finally able to feel safe talking about their experiences working for the Bush team. For years, they were to afraid to say a word. The tide has turned.</p>

<p>^ I agree! But why couldn’t they see that this was the way it was going to be? Why were they complicit? If Bush had offered you a great job, would you have accepted it? Or would you have, ahem, assumed there were strings attached, and passed?</p>
