<p>It is weird that Natalie was murdered 5 years to the day that this girl was killed. Makes me wonder if there was any girls who were missing and presumed dead before Natalie or after her (or where ever Joran van der Sloot was)? I get the feeling this might have happened before?</p>
<p>This guy is 6’ 6"… His face has been splattered on our TVs for years…His face isn’t “common”…He’s not easily going to “blend in” anywhere. He’s not in his home country. He’s going to be caught.</p>

<p>I hope he is caught and tried in Peru. I suspect the jail conditions there for a foreigner that murdered a local girl might be a little more unpleasant than they would have been in Aruba or the Netherlands. I’m hoping anyway.</p>

<p>I am wary of jumping to conclusions, but it is hard to believe that this man is innocent. I saw a cousin of the Peruvian victim’s on a video clip. He was clearly devastated.</p>
<p>One thing I don’t understand - Van der Sloot is now 21 - was he only 17 at the time of the Holloway murder?</p>

<p>Why isn’t he in handcuffs in the video? Wanted for murder and on the run, yet he isn’t put in handcuffs when police bring him in?</p>
<p>I believe that he was a senior in high school when the Natalee incident occurred. So, he may have been 17 (but probably almost 18). Natalee had just graduated, and I think he was doing finals at that time.</p>
<p>The fact that he was fleeing is a suggestion of guilt, but I don’t know if Peruvian law considers that, too.</p>
<p>His head is shaved. I wonder if his head was shaved in the hotel video. IF not, he tried to change his appearance.</p>
<p>It wouldn’t shock me at all if they tied him to more victims. I heard the victim’s brother say that she was beaten so badly that she was unrecognizable–broke her neck and she was missing an eye from the attack. Van der Sloot had just met this girl hours earlier.</p>

<p>Just saw video of him handcuffed and being loaded onto a plane to be flown to Peru. He does not look nearly as smug and pleased with himself as he usually does. </p>
