I’m currently Interested in pursuing a career in Computer Science or a similar field in Engineering. I have not exactly decided yet.

Here is a list down below of some Colleges I have been thinking applying too. I know my chance for most University is very slim because of my low GPA, which I will explain on my Essay.

This is an incomplete list so I need your help and feedback. Thank You

Drexel University
Michigan State Univesity

I’d say drop U. Washington from your list immediately. Their CS department is highly selective. My son had better stats than yours, applied as a non-impacted liberal arts student, and was waitlisted last year. Penn State probably has pretty straightforward data available for its admissions, and your school ought to be able to see how you compare with past students. Will you be able to afford Drexel? Your grades and scores would not make you competitive for merit aid there. Temple seems more promising for admission, since you would qualify for in-state tuition. Your best prospects are at PA public universities. Your stats do not rule out academic admission to many good colleges, but financial need might put them out of reach. Nobody has ever gotten into college on the basis of predicted test results. A strong showing on the SAT and/or ACT could make a world of difference, as will an upward trend in the demanding IB program. Maybe some less selective, less expensive public universities would also be manageable: West VA, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, et al. Others on this site could advise you better regarding Engineering/CS programs.
