Forward McGill Email to Gmail

Does anyone know how to/if its possible to forward email from MyMcgill email to another email account such as Gmail?

I’ve been checking around for such info too, and it doesn’t seem to be possible.
Don’t take my word on it though, you might get better info contacting them directly.

Yes, it’s possible.

Here’s how:

http://knowledgebase.mcgill.ca/article.asp?article=2343&p=4

Don’t do it.

The process deletes your exchange mailbox and when you’ll want it back you have to contact IT for them to re-enable it. (I know because I went through that.)

The McGill email is for life (once you graduate) and is a much more professional looking address to use than Gmail, Yahoo, etc. You get IMAP and Exchange (web based) access, so you’re not missing much functionality with it.

Gmail allows you to select which email address you want to use when sending email from your Gmail inbox. I have mine automatically set on my McGill address, which means I uniquely send McGill emails from my gmail inbox. I find it convenient because I’m able to use my McGill address, but I get the endless storage space that comes with Gmail. Gmail has better filters and functionality, and as I use a Mac, a lot of the Microsoft Exchange software is really not that useful for me.
