Wondering if anyone has heard of Founders House in NYC or any other location? It was listed on Craig’s List as a kind of apartment share and sounds perfect for my son - he actually found it and sent the listing to his dad and I to review - it sounds great but I can’t figure out how you confirm this is an up and up business (ask for references?) and they are not renting to nut cases (sorry that is politically incorrect but I can’t think of a better way to state it at the moment) and honest individuals. He’s looking for a place to stay for a month or two while he accumulates a paycheck or two to afford the deposit and broker fee (yes they have real estate fees to rent apartments, even if you find it yourself!).
