My friends (3) and I are going to room together this year at NYU.
We want to meet other people, though, and are torn between Founders and 3N.
Goddard is third on our list.
Can any people in the dorms make a case?
The housing wiki for NYU doesn’t go too in depth into Founders.

I think you have a better chance of getting a social crowd in 3N. There was some discussion of 3N being a social dorm that vies with Hayden’s reputation as the social dorm. In fact, there was some complaint of “too much noise” at 3N certain times of the week.

Founders apparently depends on the floor you find yourself in. My son told me his Founders floor has little community, while someone posted here they are living in a very social floor at Founders.
