"Founding" a program?

Um so...

A while ago I was asked to coach / direct a summer arts program for youth at the community recreational center. I was pretty psyched since I didn't have anything else to do this summer, and nothing is better than working with cute little kids. :-D

So I got some volunteer forms and I got some of my more artistic friends to join and help me facilitate it.

They asked me to pretty much lead this entire project, since they didn't set out any guidelines or anything. This is the first year that they will have done this. It's basically up to me to set up the program, gather the materials, work up a new agenda, etc..... just to shape it into something.

Well, then I started working on my resume yesterday because I thought it'd be a good idea since that'd leave me one less thing to do during the hectic school year.

Basically, what it boils down to is this:
What do I put for this activity?
Did I "found" this program?
Or did I just "coach/direct"?
Or both?
I don't want to end up lying on my application. =/

How much significance does this hold? Should I even bother to include this on my app. at all?

It's definitely worth including. Maybe say you "programmed & directed"? Sounds like a fun opportunity - I hope you have a good time with it.

You founded it AND directed/coached it if you are setting all the guidelines, agenda, etc. It doesn't matter that you didn't think of it; you're the one putting all of the work into it :)

And have fun it sounds absolutely AMAZING. I want to work with little kids :)
