<p>Will I be able to get away with taking four courses in my first semester freshman year? I’m a computer science major and CIS 160 is killing me. I am considering dropping it and taking it another semester, but I can’t find courses that I can switch into without a massive amount of catchup. I want to switch into an English course because English is my best subject, but I emailed professors about how much work I need to do to catch up and the two replies I got back are that the classes in question are closed…so yeah…</p>
<p>You should have an adviser assigned. Contact them immediately. Come up with a plan.</p>
<p>4 classes in the first semester is not unreasonable if you are doing well in them.</p>
