Fourth college to put on my ACT registration?

<p>So tomorrow is the last day for me to make any changes to my score reports. After doing multiple college visits over these past few days, I’m now deciding that some of the colleges I was going to report to I am will no longer send the scores to, since I’m not longer interested. Before today, my score report looked like this (starting with top priority):</p>

<p>Carnegie Mellon University
University of Iowa
Illinois State University
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign</p>

<p>After some further research, I’ve refined my report to the following:</p>

<p>Carnegie Mellon University
University of Iowa
Milwaukee School of Engineering
?</p>

<p>I’m left with a blank space, but lots of colleges to possibly fill it with. Granted, I haven’t visited any of them yet, and I figure I can always send reports later on if needed. However, here are the schools I am debating putting in my last spot (in no particular order):</p>

<p>University of Wisconsin at Madison
Vanderbilt University
Georgia Institute of Technology
University of Michigan at Ann Arbor</p>

<p>Like I said, I haven’t visited any of these yet, but I’m sure I will be at some later point. If it helps, I plan to major in either physics, mathematics, or mechanical engineering. I’ve found that all of the above are well known for their science and engineering programs, which is a definite positive. Beyond that, which would be the best to put in my final report? (I just put University of Wisconsin in for now, but that can be easily changed)</p>

<p>DON’T PUT ANY COLLEGES ON YOUR REGISTRATION!</p>

<p>It really bugs me that the ACT makes it seem like you need to put colleges down. It is completely illogical to send your scores before you know them. Sure, schools will superscore, but if you get a 24 the first time and a 33 the second time, they’re going to wonder about the first time. I think they will look down upon that student. Just shell out a few bucks and send your scores when you are comfortable with them.</p>

<p>If you are interested in MSOE and CMU, then look at other [url=“&lt;a href=“http://theaitu.org%22%5DAITU%5B/url”&gt;http://theaitu.org”]AITU[/url</a>]. They are all Tech schools but with different flavors.</p>

<p>Interesting, I didn’t know about that. Thank you! I’m noticing a lot of them are in the heart of downtown for a lot of cities (something I don’t really want in a school), but I’ll do some more research.</p>

<p>If you haven’t applied yet, what are they going to do with your scores? They don’t know who you are. They have no app with which to save your scores.</p>
