How much sway does a recommendation from the Fox Leadership program have in the admissions process?

Depends on how well the recommendation is written.

Is anyone familiar with the Fox program giving recommendations for applicants?

I’m just curious, because while I’ve heard of the Kelly Writers House giving recommendations for applicants, I haven’t heard of the Fox program doing so. But apparently they do

Is there a program for non-students? All I see is their undergraduate program.

I think it’s only for penn undergrads

Are you a Penn undergrad? If so, what are you applying to?

Am I missing something? What would this letter of recommendation be for? Who would it be for?

(x-post)

No I’m a rising senior that’s applying to penn ED. I am meeting with professors at the Fox program and I was told that after my interview, they will be writing me a recommendation for admission. I just want to know if anyone else has done this before.

I found this old link 45 percenter posted in the past. It looks like the writers house does a lot more screening than just an interview.

I did see that. And they don’t recommend everyone they speak to. Writing samples play a large play too

Right. However, they are recruiting for a specific major which means the department is making the choice to recommend a student.

What major does this program belong to?

The Fox Program probably falls under the political science major though I’m applying under PPE
