Framingham State University only 30% acceptance??

<p>Last I checked on College Boards website, Framingham State University had a 60% acceptance rate. Now it’s down to 30%. </p>

<p>Is this true??
How can they become twice as picky in just 6 months?? </p>

<p>If I search for “Framingham State University acceptance rate” I come up with sites that say anything from 52%-62%, but nothing as low as 30%. </p>

<p>How do I know if the statistic is correct?</p>

<p>I would put my money on the higher number. Framingham State is easier to get into than UMass, it’s a typical teachers college. And I am a teacher, so please don’t take my comments as a disparaging remark. To quote that great American Bill Belichick, “it is what it is”.</p>

<p>I would think the numbers higher, that seems high selective even for the Umass schools.</p>

<p>overall acceptance is 66%.
The percent of admitted students that enroll is 32%. Maybe that is what is confusing things?
some stats on enrolled students:
SAT Critical Reading 470 550
SAT Math 470 560
SAT Writing 460 550
