Hang in there… it’s a crapshoot. With our older son, we had many surprises, both positive and negative. In the end, he landed in a school that is a perfect match. Just remember, this is the universe speaking to our kids… the schools uncannily match our children, and vice-versa.

How was the F and M admitted day? Couldn’t make it. Any impressions?
Daughter just found out she got off the waitlist with 30k yearly Merit plus an additional grant. She’s already committed though to another school. We were just shocked that to be given that amount of money that she would have been waitlisted.
I still think she made a good choice but this certainly is something to think about.
This is not uncommon. Schools have a fixed amount to use as merit, and they are usually quite equitable in how it is distributed. What this says is that they had more students who met their merir criteria than they had $ and seats. Students with the same stats/profiles get the same merit.
See my comment above about Denison – it is much easier to decide whether to stay on a WL if you know what you’re waiting for! I don’t know why more schools don’t take that approach.
