Frat process at Trinity

I’m currently a freshman at Trinity college and was hoping to rush next fall. I’ve been hearing that you need to know some or one brother very well to the point where he’d vouch for you before you are even considered, which is tough for me because I am from the west coast and don’t know many of the boarding and prep school kids around here. Is this true? Or can I get to know the brothers as they consider me?

This would be a much better question for folks actually at Trinity. That said, my advice is to get into the social scene - go out and meet folks. If you get an invitation to a party or get together, go. If not, take a buddy and go crash an open party. If you get to know some fraternity guys and get along, great; if not, no big deal. No point in joining a fraternity if they aren’t your kind of people. It’s just a social club.
