Basically I am already at USC for school, but my question is if my father was a past president for a certain fraternity, how do I make this known to the fraternity? I obviously would like to pledge there in the Spring, but do I have my dad email them or should I casually bring it up or what?

Why not ask your dad? He should understand how recruiting works if he was president of the fraternity.

^yea i think your dad should know… but also, id probably just bring it up casually when talking to the bros, like they will probably ask you why you want to join their fraternity, and you can say that is one of the reasons… you could always have your dad contact their board of trustees to put in a word or so…

Go to the National HQ and USC Chapter websites of the fraternity that you are intered in. Most have an ‘interested’ in joining page. Here is where you can state that you are a Legacy.

Secondly, go to the USC IFC page and sign up for Rush.

Keep an open mind. Be sure to visit other groups and look for a “good fit”. Make sure you and your family have a frank conversation about fraternity costs. Be sure these fit into the family budget before signing up for recruitment.
