<p>I’m receiving a scholarship this year from the local Phi Beta Kappa Association. Because it is a third-party scholarship I added it to my aid award myself. I got an email last week that UF had received a scholarship check for me, and when I looked at my award in ISIS I saw that the scholarship been renamed “FRATERNITY/SORORITY SCH”. Phi Beta Kappa isn’t either of those things, and while it’s possible that whoever input the info just saw Greek and assumed, I want to make sure that that classification won’t affect how the funds are used. I have no interest in getting involved in Greek life. </p>
<p>I emailed my financial aid adviser about it, but he hasn’t gotten back to me yet, which is odd. He’s usually been pretty quick about responding…</p>
<p>I’m probably stressing over nothing, but I know from experience that it is best to nip financial aid screw ups in the bud, so I’m not left hanging at the beginning of the semester.</p>
