Fraternity

I was just wondering if UC transfer students are welcome to join a fraternity…any benifit in join a frat besides getting drunk and gettin lots of girls? I’ll only be 18 after i transfer, so i don’t think i’m too old for it…anyone considering joining one?

There are numerous benefits to joining a fraternity. It is really dependant upon the house you join. A lot of them are predominantly concerned with alcohol and sex, and this is generally quite visible at rush. There are those who are quite concerned with academics, comraderie, fun, and brotherhood, and they are typically smaller. Keep in mind there are non-traditional fraternities without houses, and these tend to be a little bit lower in extremity as well. There are also non-traditional service fraternities that provide unique brotherhood experiences without any wild side.
