Does anyone have information or commentary on the influence exerted by the Greek system on Kenyon’s social scene? Does much of the night-life revolve around parties thrown by the frats and sororities, or are there other options? Thanks for your input!

I’d also love some info on the wellness housing and everything that entails.

I would say that frats and sorority parties are the dominant social scene, but there are always other things going on. KFS shows a movie every weekend night, there is usually at least one play going up, and Social Board plans an event every weekend night (comedians, concerts, off-campus trips, $2 movies in town, poker tournaments, etc).
As far as wellness goes–people who choose wellness are housed on the 3rd floor of McBride. Generally the people who choose wellness are interested in substance-free living (all freshman dorms are alcohol free, though). Not everyone who lives on 3rd floor chose wellness, however. I lived on Wellness last year and it was a great experience–I think my hall was probably one of the most close-knit on campus.
