I’ve done about a million search threads about Frats at Dartmouth, and I was wondering if they differ from other frats besides these:
- Parties are open to everyone
- No one will say anything if you don’t drink
- You can play water pong, instead of beer pong
- Even when you pledge, you can do a “dry pledge,” which doesn’t require any beer

Any other way Dartmouth frats are different? Also, can someone talk a little about pledge week at Dartmouth? Thanks.

Overall there is much more openness, I.e. even non brothers get a chance to play pong in front of non-brothers if they are in line first. Every house is pretty much always open to anyone which is rare. Frats are much less cliquey than at other schools - no one really feels any rivalry between frats.

You will never have to pay to get in a party.

Meetings: Weds nights are the only time frats are open to brothers only.
