Freak Out Session

okay so this is what happened: a couple days after i recieved my acceptance packet, i filled out the reply card and put it in the envelope. but i didnt actually put it in the mailbox until about a week later. the thing is, now that its gone… im starting to freak out about whether or not i really check teh yes box. what if i checked the no box by accident?? i checked it about 101000 times before closing the envelope but because it was so long ago im starting to doubt my judgement. is this normal??? do they send u any type comfirmation??

I think you’re looking for this forum.

uh, okay?? if you were going for funny, sorry, but you didnt quite get there

i think you’re just a little paranoid right now. if you really must know though, you can always call up the admission office and tell them your situation. but personally, i’m pretty sure you checked yes. i mean, who, even unconsciously, could say no to princeton? ;)

haha and the thing is, i remember i checked like 4 times. so yeah-- i think it’s just because it’s probably the most important “response card” i’ll fill out in my life that now i’m worrying. thanks gxing

i think its funny your worrying…but im sure that even if for some reason in the very small possibility you spaced out and checked “no” and you found out later on im sure princeton will still let you come…just i guess double check and its okay if you sound silly, your in anyway.

just call the office. no big deal. don’t wait if you’re unsure.

This reminds me of when I flushed my dead goldfish down the toilet , and it looked like he was swimming again as he disappeared. NOOOOOO! Wait!!! Relax, and just call or email them if it will make you feel better. :)

yeah ocd much lol  It’s ok I get really paranoid about big things as well.

I think I had the same problem. It’s like wondering if you locked your car or not, but then you’re like “oh I’m too far now anyway, I probably locked it”.
So you probably check “yes” :)

Did anyone read the fine-print at the bottom of the card by the way? Where it says “You will not be able to change your decision once we receive the response card.” ?

There was fine print?

hmm… no ;o

i called and the lady was really nice about it… she comfirmed that i did, indeed, check the yes box. i guess you were right KoRnylious

I emailed them and they said they hadn’t received mine yet…ewww.

They also said I would be notified if they didn’t have it by May-ish.

they probably already gave away your spot to a waitlisted candidate. just go to community college, ok?

community college is for geeks. I applied to a medium security prison in Arizona just for safety. They turned me down though…

hmm… just wondering…

has anyone here ever been inside a prison cell?
