<p>GOOD GET, M&S!!! Ellen Foley had more talent in her little finger than practically any diva I can think of. She epitomizes for me the spirit of some of these incredibly talented folks who spend their whole lives chasing the dream. [* OK, today I’ll record an album with David Bowie’s lads…OK, now I think I’ll get a lead role in a Broadway musical…OK, that’s done, maybe I should try acting in a movie–“Fatal Attraction”–yeah, that’ll work…OK, now TV…*] Talk about someone who could suck every bit of oxygen out of a room without even trying. But that voice, that voice. It’s really hard for me to understand why she’s not the most famous singer on the planet. But then, I just saw Graham Parker singing in someone’s living room last week. Life is strange. I’m stumped on the Heads parody…1978 was the year I left Boston, young fella.</p>
