Freaking out!

Well I did a TAA and got accepted to UCSB. I have a 3.6 GPA so I probebly didn’t need to but I wanted to be guaranteed. I am taking a really hard class right now and my teacher actually wants to weed out people from the class. I am really stressed because i don’t really know my grade but there is a possibility I might get a D if I don’t do well on my research paper (for exper. psych) The agreement said you can’t get below a “c”. What will happen if i DO get a “D” Mind you, I have NEVER in my life had! Will they reject me? PLEASE if you have any input tell me, I’m sooo stressed! Thanks :)

most of the time no if you have already fulfill the requirement for UC such as u need two years of foreign language and u failed the third year of it and that’s actually ok. but you still need to call them up if you really get a D, they will look it up and see if you fullfill the requirement yet. I am almost sure only it will jeopardize the admission if you don’t call or have not fullfill the UC requirement

Fortunately it’s not really a required class, it’s a prerequisit…so does that make a difference?

you shouldn’t be relying on this forum for advice; what are you going to do if it is wrong? Call the admissions office and talk it over with them.

oh i’m not relying on it… i was just wondering…if anything goes wrong yes of course im going to call.

well, do you need that class to fulfill the UC A-G requirement, if not you are probably safe, but yes any grades below C you must call no matter what class that is

Calgurl’s a transfer student. I don’t think anyone here has any idea what the deal is.
