What are pros and cons of Gunn vs Suffield

Will your kid be playing a sport? My kid graduated in 23 and we were disappointed in the sportsmanship of Gunn. We experienced it both in person and on a broadcast where their students were right in front of a camera that picked up everything they said.
Definitely go to the revisits! The decision will be clear after that. My son got into both Gunn and Suffield and NMH and Peddie. We thought Gunn would be a serious contender, but then after we revisit, we felt it just wasn’t the right fit! A complete 180 from when he first toured and interviewed

We have one kid at Gunn and our daughter just got accepted. She will almost certainly go to Gunn. Our experience has been that the kids are very nice. The video the school sent to admitted students was amazing and our son says it really represents the experience of the school. The video is worth watching if you are interested in Gunn.

Suffield is a bit larger and is right in town. For some kids, being able to walk to DD or CVS is a nice perk.

Went to revisit days and ultimately chose Frederick Gunn. The relatively new Head of School was amazing and the school really feels like it’s moving in all of the right directions in terms of curriculum, beautiful new buildings and an intentional effort to support students in every way possible. Really helps too that the campus and surrounding area is gorgeous. More than anything else, existing students really seemed happy and grounded. Go Highlanders!
