Fredericksburg VA Parents....need recs

So we arrive evening–next week…

Need a dinner suggestion…

After a long day, I like to have the options covered. K2 thinks we “decide when we get there” though I have scoped it out…because a tired parent and tired college-searching teen do not make good dinner companions without plans…

Thanks

Fog, My D’s favorite place to eat in F’Burg is Otani’s:

Otani Japanese Steak House, Fredericksburg
12131 Amos Ln, Fredericksburg, VA 22407

It’s a Kobe style restaurant where they cook in front of you. A little pricey- when we go and take 5 people it usually costs about $150- but then I usually order the filet mignon and lobster and H orders some sushi and D loves the shrimp tempura appetizer.

If you go to their website:
[Japanese Restaurant | Fredericksburg, VA](http://www.japanesesushiandsteak.com/)

you can print a 10% off coupon

Sammie T’s, Soup and Taco. I just asked D2, who happens to be at home right now. This is from the student point of view. There are a lot of places to eat in the downtown area. Most are very small. There are all the major chains if you go out to the I-95 area.

I would choose Sammie T’s. Allow some time for a stroll down the street and along the river if the weather is nice.

This is a German place in the old historic train station-The Bavarian Chef.
[THE BAVARIAN CHEF RESTAURANTS](http://www.thebavarianchef.com/)

Thanks

We will be driving in…
get dinner
and the next day see the college…

so getting a feel is a good idea…
(not that college students have any $ for dining out)
