Free Cake*

I know that this might be the wrong place to request this, but can someone read my Common App & “Why Duke” essays? I sent them out last month as part of my ED application to Trinity, and I’d really like the opinions of current Duke students as both intelligent readers and as students who’ve been accepted in past years. I haven’t really had the opportunity to get any insight from the Duke student’s perspective, and I’d really appreciate it. I know I can’t change any of my application at this point in time, but (for some reason) it would be comforting to have these opinions.

Anyone interested?

-Madboy

*there is no free cake

40 views and nothing? cmon guys…who knows? maybe there actually is free cake…

Since you’re insisting that readers be Duke students, you’re not going to get many responses.

Sure, as a Duke student, I will be happy to do so.

Free cake for Mondo.

I could do it too but I’m not exactly known for my essay writing prowess. (engineer here)

It’s your call, Gecko. Want me to PM them?

Madboy, I’ll check them out for you if you’d like.

I appreciate the offer, Irkk, but I really only want to keep it open to current Duke students. Just like I don’t want to read any high school class of '08 college essays, I don’t want my essays to be read by anyone in the high school class of '08. Thanks anyway, though.

I check it out for you. If you get in and come here, can we get free cake then? haha

Don’t forget about free cake friday.

If I get in (miraculously, that is) I’ll give free cake to anyone who a) reviewed my essays and b) can find my on East Campus next year and tell me my CC username in person.

I don’t know which would be harder: me getting in or you being able to find me on East Campus.
