<p>Does anyone know if Columbia has free, non-credit language courses like NYU does? At the very least, are the language clubs very active?</p>
<p>I know that the French Cultural Society is very active on campus…the Italian deparment probably is as well…I don’t know about the others—and I guess most people don’t want to take a language if they can’t get credit 'cause most language courses here are pretty time-consuming/difficult.</p>
