Free period?

My school is on a block schedule(4 classes) and I was wondering if having only 3 classes instead of 4 senior year can hurt my application for top tier schools. I need to know so i can take all my required classes. Also, I plann to have 14 AP’s by graduation. Granted that i do well on the exams, how much credit will i get for the schools listed below? Can i possibly take away a whole year of college?
Some schools that I am interested in are
UNC CH
Duke
UPenn
UVA…
basically all the school with a good undergrad business program

What do you plan to do with the additional time? If you are running a company on the side and are taking time for that, most undergrad business programs won’t have a problem.

You’ll have to check each school’s policy regarding AP credit. Some places will give you sophomore status. Whether that’s consistent with completing the business program and the distribution requirements is another matter. But why would you want to get out in 3 years? College is a tremendous opportunity to experiment, study abroad, get exposed to a lot of interesting ideas, etc…unless the money is so tight that this is the only way you can afford to attend?

Thanks for your input. I just wanted time to focus on classes(also there are not any more classes I have interest in) EC’s and work on my common app. Also some time to relax. Going to school for 4 years is not a big deal I just wanted to see if i can get out soon so I can work faster. Money is not a major issue but the more you save the better right? In regards to study abroad, can I do that as an underclassman or is it only for seniors?
