Hi all.
I’ve got a question regarding international application in Stanford for Graduate level :
I’m currently a student in France and I will soon strat the first year of my dipl

I would believe Stanford’s website.

Since you won’t have an undergraduate degree in autumn 2014, then you’ll be considered not as a graduate applicant but as a transfer applicant. That’s a huge distinction, and undergraduate transfer admission is substantially more competitive than graduate school admission.

You should apply to enter as a graduate student in the fall of 2015.

Applying before graduation is normal. That’s what most people do. High school students apply, and are accepted, in their senior year to start undergrad the following fall. You apply before you finish, unless you want to take a gap year. Am I missing something? Why should the OP wait until fall 2015 to apply?

I had heard something like that, that to go to Stanford, French students must finish their Master’s course (as we call it in France). This lasts 2 years and at the end of the 2014-2015 academic year I will have my dipl

That doesn’t make any sense. If you apply to a grad school without an undergraduate degree they’ll consider you as a graduate applicant who doesn’t have an undergraduate degree. The admissions for grad school and undergrad are totally separate.

I think you should contact Stanford directly. Call and speak with someone who is qualified to respond. Nobody here seems to know :)

@onemoreparent I think you’re right… actually, I’m still confused…
