I tried to ask this question on an existing thread about R&C and premed, but I havent gotten any responses and i can’t wait any longer because my Phase II ends in 2 hours, so my question is this:
I am thinking of taking French R1A for my R&C requirement. For med schools’ requirements of 1 year of english would this count, even though the class is called French R1A, not English R1A? Also how would the med schools know that this is not a French class, but an english class; will it say english on my transcript? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

bump… please i need this question answered asap

taking that class will be fine. it will not count or appear as a french class.

in any case, you can explain to whatever school you send your transcript to that that is an english class. it won’t be hard to prove.

career center suggests keeping syllabi from R&C courses in case medical schools do not accept your course.

also, is it allowed to take comparative lit R1B first semester, and Comparative lit R1A second semester?

Yes I have even seen people take their R1B before their R1A.
