Freshman Course Schedule Register, etc

So…totally stressing over what to do and how everything is going to play out and all…

What can I expect my freshman course schedule to be like? (As a petroleum engineer major or a undergraduate studies). My initial plan is to transfer from petroleum to chemical since I couldn’t change it after I decided what I really want to do… But if I don’t get in to petroleum and end up as an undergraduate studies, what would my course schedule be like on a path to transfer into chemical engineering? What would be the best classes to take as a freshman to have that GPA booster to help me in my transfer?
Also - During orientation, if I was accepted into petroleum, would they let me change to chemical? Or would I have to wait and transfer like everyone else.

I hear that RHE306 is terrible and unfortunately, my score was just below the requirement to opt out of it. Can I just take english at a CC or online this summer and not have to take it?

I also read that orientation helps you register for classes, but when does class registering and orientation begin?

Sorry for so many questions but I’m totally freaking out over all of this .__.

bumpppppppppp

Stop worrying… seriously.

If you don’t have much credit coming in (e.g. English 1/2, Gov 1/2, Calc 1/2, Bio 1/2, Chem 1/2+lab, etc.) then you’ll have to take these courses anyway. These are open to the entire university so no worries there. However, you will end up missing out on the “Intro to Chemical Engineering” course that every ChemE participates in. You’ll have to talk to an adviser about getting around that.

You’ll register during orientation and orientation occurs in multiple sessions throughout the Summer. The earlier you go to orientation, the earlier you register (this is a good thing). Feel free to take any courses you like over the Summer if you don’t want to take them at UT. Make sure that the class you take will actually transfer to UT for credit by checking here: [UT ATE System - Query by UT Course](<a href=“UT ATE System”>UT ATE System)

Again, stop worrying. It’s far too early :</p>
