Freshman Edge and Robotics

Hi

On my Cal application status page, along with the EECS acceptance letter, there is a message which states that I have been invited for the Freshman Edge program which allows me to take upto two courses in the summer itself.

What I’d like to know is that is this program an exclusive one?

Also, relating to Robotics, is it possible to take a minor of sorts in robotics in the EECS major? Maybe take some relevant courses or such?

Thanks in advance

Summer session is not particularly exclusive, although classes can fill up.

If you do attend Berkeley summer session, you may want to consider taking courses that are hard to get elsewhere (e.g. CS 61A, CS 70).

As an EECS major, you can take within major electives like EE C125* or 215A (robotics) and C128+ (feedback control systems). Some courses in ME may also be of interest.

*Also listed as Bioengineering C125
+Also listed as ME C134

I think CS61A is already filled up. Thanks anyways though.
