<p>1)When (before orientation?) and how (online?)does a freshman choose his/her engineering courses?
2) Does the school wait to receive the AP scores before deciding which classes the student should take?
3) Does the student call the assigned advisor before selecting classes?
4) Does the engineering school suggest what type of laptop one should buy?</p>

<p>I believe you will be receiving your peer adviser and faculty adviser is July. They will contact you and help you choose your classes. I think registration for engineers starts August 1. You should also receive a package sometime during the summer that informs you of the freshman year suggested classes for all of the different types of engineering.</p>

<p>I don’t know anything about AP scores. You could probably get the answer from the registrar. <a href=“http://registrar.seas.wustl.edu/[/url]”>http://registrar.seas.wustl.edu/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>I am sure the school offers some type of laptop suggestions, but it really isn’t all that necessary. For engineering, all I would suggest is getting Windows machine since a lot of engineering software isn’t designed for macs.</p>
